Gus von Geiselheim is an adorable 18 month old German Shepherd. He has one of the cutest faces we've seen with his ever moving ears; sometimes all the way up, sometimes he does the 'airplane ear' move, sometimes they're just all the way back. We can't help but smile at this big goofy boy. Gus gets along with other dogs and rides well in the car with the exception of his desire to sit in your lap while you're driving. He's a super sweet dog and more than ready for his forever home.  People are always looking for a young dog who is mellow, we normally have to explain that it just doesn’t happen. But it looks like we might have to eat our words. Gus is so chilled and easy going. It doesn’t matter that he is surrounded by chaos at an adoption event, nothing bothers him in the slightest, he is the same easy going charming fellow. Gus is the best!

Update from the foster mom:  Gus, who responds to Sammy is a totally dream! She just can’t get over what a gentleman! Sammy sleeps at the foot of the stairs on his doggy bed, he must have not been allowed upstairs in his prior home. Even though her dogs go upstairs, he just waits happily for them to come down in the morning. He uses the doggy door and is housebroken. He has seen cats running and hasn’t shown any interest, a neighbor’s bird got out and flew over and sat on Sammy’s back. Everyone gasped thinking this was the end of the bird, but it was okay with Sammy. He likes to hang out in the backyard and sun bathe, he is very popular at the dog park. He rides well in the car. It was hard to remember all the good things Gus/Sammy’s foster mom had to say about him. But the basic summary is that he is just the most amazing dog.
